Warehouse Management Clerk

About the role

The Warehouse Management Clerk supports the efficient operation of IOM's warehouse in Kabul, ensuring that goods are received, recorded, stored, and dispatched according to organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect goods from vendors, verifying quantity and quality against specifications.
• Update warehouse records in the database and issue receiving and release documents.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Monitor loading and off‑loading activities and supervise hired labour as needed.
• Conduct physical inventories, prepare bi‑weekly inventory reports, and keep stock cards up to date.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, and Security units to ensure compliance with documentation and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, warehouse management or a related field (or equivalent high‑school diploma with experience).
• At least one year of relevant professional experience (three years for high‑school diploma holders).
• Fluency in English, assessed through written and/or oral tests.
• Good communication, analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Windows operating system.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
