Dental Assistant

About the role

Barnaa Dental Complex, a modern dental facility in the Green Zone of Wazir Akbar Khan, Kabul, is looking for a Dental Assistant. The assistant provides clinical and administrative support to dentists during procedures, keeping the clinic safe, hygienic and well organized. The role also covers daily clinic operations such as preparing treatment rooms, handling equipment and keeping accurate clinical records.

Key responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and treatment procedures.
• Prepare instruments, materials and treatment rooms before each appointment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
• Keep dental units and clinical areas clean and hygienic.
• Prepare and handle dental materials as instructed by the dentist.
• Support patient preparation and assist throughout procedures.
• Maintain and organize instruments, equipment and supplies, and monitor inventory and report shortages or damaged equipment.
• Follow infection prevention, occupational safety and clinic policies, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Work with dentists, receptionists and other clinic staff.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of dental instruments, materials and procedures.
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• High sense of responsibility, punctuality and attention to detail.
• Professional attitude and willingness to learn.
