Advocacy & Humanitarian Mine Action Specialist (Kabul)

About the role

The Advocacy and Humanitarian Mine Action Specialist will support Humanity & Inclusion’s mission in Afghanistan by leading advocacy efforts, coordinating mine‑action activities and promoting inclusive humanitarian assistance. Based in Kabul, the role starts on 1 November 2026 for an 11‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies on mine risk education and explosive ordnance risk reduction.
• Coordinate with national and international partners, including clusters, NGOs and donor agencies.
• Support the integration of disability inclusion across all humanitarian programmes.
• Provide technical guidance on mine‑action operations and risk education for vulnerable populations.
• Contribute to reporting, monitoring and evaluation of mine‑action projects.
• Represent HI in coordination bodies such as ACBAR, ICCT and HCT.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in humanitarian mine action, advocacy or related fields.
• Ability to work in Kabul and travel within Afghanistan as needed.
• Commitment to inclusion and disability‑sensitive approaches.
