Warehouse Store Keeper

About the role

Asia Community Development Organization (ACDO), an Afghan non-profit humanitarian organization, is recruiting a warehouse store keeper through its ACBAR agency. The postholder receives and dispatches commodities, keeps accurate warehouse records and ensures quality control of food and non-food goods, in line with WFP warehouse standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and dispatch commodities, including transshipment (truck to truck), against approved documentation such as waybills and delivery notes, and check quantities and quality against standards.
• Prepare, verify and sign off warehouse and transport documents, keep confidential files and accurate transaction records, and report commodity movements promptly.
• Carry out daily warehouse closing reconciliation and inventory checks supporting internal controls.
• Inspect commodities daily, report on quantity and quality, analyse reasons for discrepancies or damage, investigate missing stock and prepare loss reports with recommended solutions.
• Safeguard food and non-food commodities using preventive measures and WFP procedures, and monitor warehouse conditions to support efficient space planning and storage.
• Guide and train warehouse staff on the job.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.

Required profile

• Afghan national; only residents of the mentioned district may apply.
• Graduation certificate with a school degree; a bachelor's degree is preferable.
• Three years of experience in a related field.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good knowledge of national languages and English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MS Office programs.
