Assessment Specialist – Analysis (Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan)

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking an Assessment Specialist to lead cross‑cutting analysis for Afghanistan. Based in Mazar-i‑Sharif, you will work closely with the IMPACT data team to generate timely evidence that informs humanitarian programming across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Produce rapid and longitudinal analyses from research products and field assessments.
• Conduct thematic and cross‑research analysis aligned with IMPACT’s priorities.
• Collaborate with GIS and remote‑sensing specialists to integrate spatial data into reports.
• Travel to Kabul and other field locations to validate data and support field teams.
• Contribute to global analysis outputs and share findings with partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian assessment or research analysis.
• Strong understanding of the Afghan context, including climate‑related and protection issues.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
