International Consultant – PPO Cooperating Partners Management

About the role

The World Food Programme seeks an experienced International Consultant to support the Cooperating Partner Management (CPM) cycle in Afghanistan. The consultant will work closely with the Head of the Cooperating Partner Management Unit to enhance partner selection, payments, contracting, risk management, compliance, digitalisation, and knowledge management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of the partner selection and onboarding process.
• Oversee and verify cooperating partner payments and contractual arrangements.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with WFP policies and cross‑cutting standards.
• Support the digitalisation of partner management processes and maintain knowledge‑sharing platforms.
• Provide analytical inputs for decision‑making and reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in international development, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in partner management, procurement, or program administration within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of UN procurement rules, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with partner selection, contracting, and payment verification processes.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and compliance monitoring.
• Familiarity with digital tools for process automation and knowledge management.
