Vaccinator

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a dedicated Vaccinator to deliver immunization services in Kunduz. You will work directly with health facilities and communities, ensuring safe and effective vaccine delivery as part of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI).

Key responsibilities

• Provide routine immunization services at fixed health facilities and outreach sites according to the national schedule.
• Maintain strict cold‑chain standards, regularly monitoring vaccine refrigerator temperatures.
• Document all vaccination activities, prepare monthly reports, and feed data into the Health Management Information System (HMIS).
• Develop and implement outreach plans, supporting National Immunization Days and other campaigns.
• Participate in training sessions and transfer knowledge to facility staff.
• Promote EPI services within the community and conduct health‑education sessions.
• Ensure compliance with medical, clinical, and infection‑prevention protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments to create a welcoming environment for clients.
