Technical Education Officer

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Technical Education Officer to provide technical support, capacity building, and quality assurance for education activities in the field. The role involves close collaboration with implementing partners, local authorities, and community leaders to ensure effective delivery of education services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuous technical support and mentoring to the Implementing Partner (IP) to ensure quality implementation of education activities.
• Plan and facilitate School Management Shura (SMS) training and orientation sessions.
• Organize and conduct teacher training and refresher sessions based on the project work plan.
• Support teachers through classroom observation, coaching, and follow‑up visits to improve teaching practices.
• Conduct social audit sessions at community level to ensure accountability and transparency.
• Monitor Community‑Based Education (CBE) classes, observe teaching, and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify implementation gaps and recommend practical solutions to improve program quality.
• Maintain coordination with IP, local education authorities, community leaders, and logistics teams.
• Prepare field visit reports, training reports, and monthly technical progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in technical support, training, and capacity building within education programs.
• Strong monitoring and quality assurance skills, with ability to provide constructive feedback.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities to work with partners, authorities, and community stakeholders.
• Commitment to child protection, inclusion, and gender‑sensitive approaches.
