Reproductive Health Officer

About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Reproductive Health Officer to strengthen clinical quality, supervision and community engagement across its health programmes. The role combines field supervision, capacity‑building training and data‑driven quality assurance to ensure rights‑based family planning and reproductive health services are delivered safely and effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct monthly supportive supervision visits to health facilities and Family Health Houses using standardized IRC checklists.
- Provide on‑site coaching and corrective guidance to midwives and community health workers, monitoring competency in reproductive health and family planning service delivery.
- Review clinical records, maintain performance trackers, and submit timely reports highlighting gaps and recommendations.
- Serve as IRC Master Trainer, delivering rights‑based family planning and values‑clarification trainings and coordinating logistics.
- Facilitate competency assessments, return demonstrations, and orientation of newly recruited midwives and CHWs before independent service delivery.
- Monitor community health dialogues, FHAG meetings and CHW household outreach to ensure planned activities and effective health‑seeking behaviour messaging.
- Analyse community reports, knowledge assessments and referral data to identify barriers and coordinate corrective actions.
- Conduct counselling quality assessments through client exit interviews, direct observation and supportive supervision.
Required profile
- Solutions‑driven, passionate change‑maker with experience in reproductive health programmes.
- Proven ability to supervise clinical teams, deliver trainings and mentor health workers.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with attention to data quality and performance tracking.
- Knowledge of rights‑based family planning, infection prevention, and reproductive health protocols.
- Willingness to travel regularly to health facilities and community sites.
