PSS Animator (Child Protection & Psychosocial Support)

About the role
World Vision is seeking a dedicated PSS Animator to lead recreational and psychosocial support activities for vulnerable children in community child protection (CFS) centers. The role involves daily interaction with children, families, and community members to create a safe, engaging environment that promotes wellbeing and protection.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver weekly recreational and psychosocial support (PSS) activities in CFS/PSS centers.
- Take attendance, monitor participation, and ensure inclusion of children with special needs.
- Observe and refer children requiring additional protection or health services.
- Maintain safety standards, report material needs, and uphold the Code of Conduct.
- Facilitate confidential referrals to partner service providers and support information dissemination on protection and safeguarding.
- Coordinate with community shuras, project teams, and child protection officers to ensure smooth case management and referral pathways.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on attendance, caseload, achievements, and challenges.
- Participate in community information sessions and sensitisation activities for leaders and parents.
Required profile
- Commitment to World Vision’s Christian‑based humanitarian mission and child protection principles.
- Experience working with children in vulnerable or emergency contexts is preferred.
- Ability to engage positively with diverse cultural groups and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and community leaders.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including daily visits to CFS/PSS centers.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required; focus is on facilitation and child‑centered support.
