About the role
Islamic Help is seeking a Programme Manager to lead its humanitarian portfolio in Afghanistan. Based in Kabul with regular travel to field locations, the role provides strategic and operational oversight to ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring and review of all assigned programmes and projects.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organisational policies and humanitarian standards.
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting and resource allocation across programmes.
- Coordinate and supervise all project and field staff, fostering effective teamwork.
- Maintain strong internal coordination and external representation with partners, donors and authorities.
- Produce timely and accurate programme reports for donors and senior management.
- Identify programme priorities based on needs assessments, contextual analysis and available resources.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing humanitarian or development programmes in complex environments.
- Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to rapidly changing contexts and travel frequently to remote sites.
- Excellent communication skills and experience representing an organisation to external stakeholders.
