International Consultant for High-Level Nutrition Briefing at ACG Meeting

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an experienced home‑based consultant to prepare and deliver a high‑quality strategic briefing on Afghanistan's nutrition crisis to a high‑level audience of donors, diplomats and development partners at the Afghanistan Coordination Group (ACG) meeting.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake a rapid stock‑take of progress against the London Compact milestones in Afghanistan.
• Prepare a concise, evidence‑based presentation covering findings, implications of declining investments and priority actions.
• Deliver the presentation at the in‑person ACG meeting and provide final meeting notes.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Nutrition, Public Health, Epidemiology, Medicine, International Development, Health Economics or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in nutrition, public health, humanitarian response or health systems.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical information into strategic messages for senior decision‑makers and experience presenting to donor, diplomatic or executive audiences.

Required skills

• Expertise in international nutrition programming, preferably in Afghanistan or similar fragile contexts.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills for rapid stock‑take and recommendation development.
