Information Management Officer (Beneficiary Data)

About the role

UNICEF’s Afghanistan Country Office is looking for an Information Management Officer (Beneficiary Data) to provide technical and operational support to the Project Management Unit (PMU) on all beneficiary data matters. The role will ensure robust data analytics and information systems for the implementation of Humanitarian Cash Transfer and Incentive Payments programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to the PMU and programme sections on beneficiary data collection, validation and reporting.
• Maintain and improve information systems used for cash transfer and incentive programmes, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Produce regular data analyses, dashboards and reports to support evidence‑based decision making.
• Coordinate with the Cash and Incentives Team and Beneficiary Data Management Team to streamline data workflows.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities related to cash transfer interventions.

Required profile

• Afghan national with a relevant university degree or equivalent experience in information management, data analysis or a related field.
• Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably with cash transfer programmes.
• Strong understanding of beneficiary data management processes and data quality assurance.
