Chief Risk Officer

About the role

The bank is seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer to lead its enterprise‑wide risk management function. Reporting to senior management, the CRO will ensure robust risk governance, regulatory compliance, and effective risk controls across all business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Credit, Market, Liquidity and Operational Risk management.
• Develop and strengthen risk management policies, frameworks and risk appetite statements.
• Monitor risk exposures, limits, concentrations and emerging risks.
• Ensure alignment with Basel standards and all regulatory requirements.
• Provide independent risk advice to senior management, the board and the risk committee.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant banking or risk management experience.
• Proven senior risk leadership roles within a commercial bank.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, ACCA, CFA or equivalent preferred.
