Advocacy & Humanitarian Mine Action Specialist

About the role

Humanity & Inclusion is seeking an Advocacy and Humanitarian Mine Action Specialist to lead advocacy efforts and support mine action programmes in Afghanistan. The role is based in Kabul and starts on 1 November 2026 for an 11‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to raise awareness of mine action and the needs of affected communities.
• Coordinate with national authorities, NGOs, and UN agencies to promote safe land‑use and victim assistance.
• Prepare policy briefs, communication materials, and reports for donors and stakeholders.
• Support the design and monitoring of humanitarian mine action projects, ensuring compliance with international standards.
• Represent Humanity & Inclusion in meetings, workshops and public events related to mine action.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in humanitarian advocacy, mine action, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of the Afghan context and the humanitarian‑development nexus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners and navigate complex environments.
