Academic Staff Member - Master of Project Management (MPM)

About the role

Tabesh University, a private higher education institution in Afghanistan, is recruiting an Academic Staff Member for its Master of Project Management (MPM) program. The role supports teaching, research, academic writing and translation, and gives academic guidance to students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach subjects related to the department and, where applicable, subjects in other departments under the guidance of the supervising professor.
• Undertake independent teaching after approval by the Faculty Academic Council, provided the person holds a master's degree, has relevant experience, speaks an international language, shows teaching competence and has published academic articles.
• Translate textbooks and supplementary teaching materials and carry out related research under supervision.
• Provide academic guidance to students and conduct practical, field-based and laboratory activities with them.
• Prepare guidelines for practical, field-based and laboratory activities and prepare lecture notes under supervision.
• Pursue professional development in subject areas, languages, research methods, assessment, classroom management and educational technology.
• Contribute to improving academic affairs and help faculty prepare lecture notes and guide students in practical activities.
• Serve on the Faculty Academic Council and the University Academic Council when senior staff are absent, and complete any outstanding teaching obligations.

Required profile

• PhD in Project Management; candidates with a master's degree need at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Foreign candidates must hold verified bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, show at least 60% academic relevance between them, be fit to teach, be under 55 years old, speak English or Arabic fluently, and have no criminal or moral convictions.
• Must meet the requirements of the Regulation on the Recruitment of Academic Staff at Higher Education Institutions.
