Academic Staff Member – Faculty of Nursing

About the role

Zawul University is seeking a full‑time Academic Staff Member for its Faculty of Nursing in Kabul. The successful candidate will plan and deliver lectures, seminars and practical sessions, develop course materials and assessments, and provide academic advising and mentorship to students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver classroom and clinical instruction in nursing and related health sciences.
• Design curricula, lecture notes, practical lab guides and fair assessment tools.
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback and academic advising.
• Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications and conference presentations.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and accreditation processes.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees and university governance.

Required profile

• Advanced academic credentials in Nursing (minimum Bachelor’s; Master’s or PhD preferred).
• Proven experience teaching nursing or health sciences at the higher‑education level, including both classroom and clinical settings.
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice and evidence‑based patient care.
• Ability to develop curricula, teaching materials and transparent assessment methods.
• Demonstrated research skills, including study design, data analysis and contribution to publications.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in the language(s) of instruction.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities to balance teaching, research and service.
• Commitment to ethical practice, learner‑centered education and continuous professional development.
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and support quality‑assurance initiatives.
