Quality Assurance & Control Officer

About the role

ActionAid Afghanistan is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Quality Assurance Quality Control Officer to ensure that projects meet organisational standards and donor requirements. The role involves developing, implementing and monitoring QA/QC processes across programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor quality assurance and control processes for projects and activities.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits, review documentation for accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare quality reports, support corrective and preventive actions, and integrate quality standards into project planning.
• Coordinate with program and operations teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong experience in quality control and assurance within program or operational environments.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or comparable standards and ability to adapt them to humanitarian contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, social sciences or related field.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation or compliance within NGOs or development organisations is an asset.
• Excellent analytical, documentation and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and communicate clearly in English; local language skills are a plus.
