Financial Management Assistant (FMA)

About the role

The Financial Management Assistant (FMA) at ARM Consulting is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Qalat. The FMA supports financial management and administrative activities for consulting projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, reporting and compliance with internal policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Track project budgets and prepare financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with procurement and payment processing.
• Coordinate with project teams on financial planning and support audits and reconciliations.
• Contribute to improving financial processes and collaborate with colleagues to provide timely, transparent financial information.

Required profile

• Strong financial management and accounting skills, including budgeting, forecasting and basic financial analysis.
• Solid administrative and organizational abilities such as document management, record keeping and coordination of project activities.
• Proficiency in office software tools – spreadsheets, word processing and financial management systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project teams, management, clients and partners.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Relevant academic qualifications in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
• Experience in consulting, development or humanitarian projects, particularly in Afghanistan or similar contexts, is an advantage.
• Ability to work on‑site in Qalat and uphold ARM Consulting’s values and principles.
