Data Entry Operator

About the role

The ICRC Afghanistan, a neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian organisation, is recruiting a Data Entry Operator through its partner ACBAR. The role covers data processing, record keeping and basic office tasks within the organisation's medical and patient support activities.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out data processing, including tallies and typing, following set standards
• Collect and process statistics
• Keep the forms used by physiotherapists, orthotics and prosthetics and home care patients, and keep the spinal cord injury lists
• File files and X-rays and keep them in order
• Cooperate with reception and help register patients
• Do simple office work such as typing, filing and photocopying
• Keep data files up to date and run data controls to ensure a good quality data-management system
• May translate forms and data between the local language and English or French

Required profile

• High school or equivalent education
• Very good command of the national language(s) plus English
• 1 year of work experience in a similar field

Required skills

• Computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of SQL or programming languages is an asset
