Professional Driver – Transport & Vehicle Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a reliable driver to transport MSH staff safely and on time, while ensuring the vehicle remains in excellent condition. The role combines passenger transport, vehicle upkeep, and basic office support.

Key responsibilities

• Drive staff to destinations, maintaining safety, security and punctuality.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, minor repairs, arrange major servicing, and keep the vehicle clean inside and out.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, trip authorisation forms and vehicle documentation (registration, licence, insurance).
• Coordinate trip schedules with the admin unit and provide messenger services as needed.
• Ensure vehicle security, monitor road conditions and adhere to all traffic regulations.
• Maintain a stock of safety and emergency equipment (first‑aid kit, fire extinguisher, spare tire, etc.).
• Report any traffic fines or incidents to the appropriate managers.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary school.
• At least 1‑2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in conflict‑area environments.
• Valid Afghanistan driver’s licence and chauffeur experience.
• Familiarity with local main roads, landmarks and current traffic rules.

Required skills

• Vehicle operation and safe driving.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Use of navigation systems and 4x4 equipment.
• Changing tires and jump‑starting batteries.
