Information Management Officer – Beneficiary Data

About the role

The Afghanistan Country Office is looking for an experienced Information Management Officer to support the Project Management Unit (PMU) on all beneficiary data matters. The role focuses on data analytics and information systems that enable effective implementation of Humanitarian Cash Transfer (HCT) and incentive payment programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to the PMU for beneficiary data collection, validation, and reporting.
• Manage and maintain information systems used for cash transfer and incentive programmes.
• Conduct data analysis to inform evidence‑based decision‑making across programme sections.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with UNICEF standards.
• Collaborate with the Cash and Incentives Team and other stakeholders to streamline data workflows.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in information management, data analytics, or related fields, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of beneficiary data processes for cash transfer programmes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
