Field Coordinator

About the role

The Field Coordinator will support the Country Director in implementing Action Against Hunger’s strategy across Afghanistan. This position oversees field operations, ensures effective program delivery, and strengthens partnerships with local actors.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of country strategy and program design.
• Coordinate field operations and integrated program implementation.
• Strengthen local partnerships, community engagement, and localization at field level.
• Manage the field team, providing technical guidance and supervision.
• Facilitate coordination with the central coordination team and ensure security and access management.

Required profile

• Degree in Humanitarian Action, International Relations, Development Studies or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a senior management role within humanitarian or development organisations.
• Proven experience in project management and operational planning.
• Strong managerial competencies in strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, security, and communication.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, coaching, and team‑development abilities.

What we offer

• 6‑month fixed‑term contract under French legislation.
• Monthly gross salary between 2,597 € and 2,968 € (including 13th month).
• Monthly net per diem of 682 € and additional allowances for country, cold weather, and pension insurance.
