Site Project Manager

About the role

The Site Project Manager oversees all on‑site activities for electrical distribution networks, overhead transmission lines, and substation construction. Acting as the primary point of coordination, you will ensure that work is executed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to deliver daily tasks in line with the project schedule.
• Manage manpower and machinery to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
• Maintain continuous communication with the Office Project Manager, providing updates on progress, material needs, risks, and issues.
• Control material, tool, and equipment usage, reducing waste and ensuring accountability.
• Monitor site progress against the overall schedule and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and technical specifications.
• Identify and resolve technical or operational challenges early to avoid delays.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants, utility authorities, and quality teams.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site diaries, and material consumption documentation.
• Support testing and commissioning activities as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on transmission line or substation projects.
• Strong leadership and team‑coordination abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to make quick decisions on site.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
