Health and Nutrition Project Coordinator

About the role

The Health and Nutrition Project Coordinator will support World Vision's efforts to reduce morbidity and mortality among women, girls, and children in hard‑to‑reach areas of Afghanistan. Working under the Zonal Manager and closely with the Health and Nutrition sector lead, the coordinator will implement grant‑funded projects at community level, ensuring equitable access to lifesaving services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present MoUs for new health and nutrition projects to the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) committee.
• Coordinate project scope of work with government directorates, BPHS NGOs, and other stakeholders.
• Implement project activities in designated provinces through sub‑ordinates, ensuring quality service delivery.
• Maintain communication with Department of Public Health to avoid duplication of efforts.
• Identify priority needs, mobilize communities, and establish relationships with local leaders and authorities.
• Deliver medical assistance, register complaints, ensure proper documentation, and conduct beneficiary follow‑ups.

Required profile

• Experience in health or nutrition project implementation in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to travel regularly to remote districts and work in challenging environments.
