Security, Safety & Resilience Assistant

About the role

The Security, Safety & Resilience (SSR) Assistant supports World Vision's SSR department by providing administrative and operational security assistance to the Herat National Office and, when required, to other operational areas remotely. The role focuses on ensuring smooth security processes, fleet management, and the safety of female staff in challenging environments.

Key responsibilities

• Submit and track security guard and driver records for Herat and Badghis, including LDR in WDR.
• Raise, receive and process purchase requests related to SSR activities.
• Prepare petty‑cash documents, overtime, per‑diem and leave forms for security personnel.
• Print and issue ID cards for regular, stipend and daily staff.
• Support female staff during emergencies, including first‑aid administration.
• Maintain and update access lists, gate authorisations and communication trees.
• Assist in drafting the Monthly Security Management Report and monitoring access constraints.
• Track vehicle movements, document maintenance of World Vision vehicles, generators and motorcycles.
• Record and report security incidents to the SSR Manager and IIM as required.
• Inspect security equipment such as surveillance cameras, alarms and access‑control systems.
• Organise and deliver security and fleet‑safety training, especially for female staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in security, logistics or administration is a plus.
• Experience in administrative support, security coordination or fleet management preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse, multicultural teams.
• Willingness to support female staff safety and complete Mahram documentation.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Light360 security platform.
• SAINT certification or equivalent safety training.
• Basic first‑aid knowledge.
• Proficiency in record‑keeping and reporting tools.
