Volunteer Case Worker

About the role

Children Not Numbers is looking for compassionate volunteers to join the team as Case Workers. You will support patients and their families throughout the care journey, ensuring accurate records and clear communication between families, medical professionals, and related departments.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and maintain patient files with strict confidentiality.
• Use Microsoft 365, WhatsApp and other tools to update case information.
• Serve as the primary contact for families in Gaza, providing timely and empathetic updates.
• Liaise with medical professionals to coordinate triage, MDT reviews and follow‑up actions.
• Monitor case progress, chase missing information and track medical evacuations or aid deliveries.
• Participate in regular meetings, report on case status and help resolve escalated issues.
• Receive ongoing training and support from the IT department and Case Manager.

Required profile

• Fluent in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrates a sensitive, pragmatic and solutions‑focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills and a compassionate nature.
• Previous public‑facing experience is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with WhatsApp for communication.
