Finance Officer – Cash Management & Accounting

About the role

The Finance Officer will supervise cash operations for the country office, ensuring accurate tracking of advances, proper bookkeeping, and timely payments. The role works closely with program teams and the logistics department to support cash distributions across Kabul and, when needed, other regions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise cash activities, track advances, and maintain a computerized cash book.
• Coordinate with program teams for cash distributions and field travel.
• Ensure finance supporting documents are complete, correctly coded, and authorized.
• Work with the logistics department to document and process supplier payments.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled cash counts and organize bank transfers.
• Manage payment of utility bills, rent, and post‑paid reimbursements.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date filing system and prepare documents for audits.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the finance department as directed by the line manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in finance or accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Fluent English with good written and verbal communication skills.
