Finance Coordinator – Partnerships (Kabul)

About the role

The Finance Coordinator – Partnerships will support the financial management of partnerships for the Afghanistan Country Office. Reporting to the Senior Manager Finance, the role acts as the main liaison between Save the Children and its local, national and international partners, ensuring budgets are accurate, reports are timely and financial processes are compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for partner financial engagement, overseeing day‑to‑day financial management of SCI partners.
• Review partner budgets at the proposal stage and participate in pre‑award due‑diligence processes.
• Analyse financial reports, provide guidance and capacity‑building training to partners.
• Maintain up‑to‑date finance files with supporting documentation and ensure monthly financial procedures are followed.
• Design, update and monitor the Risk‑Based Monitoring (RBM) tool and compile RBM status for all partners.
• Collaborate with budget holders to prepare and revise partner budgets, ensuring completeness and competitiveness.
• Support partners during external audits and follow up on auditors’ recommendations.
• Coordinate finance support visits, monitoring, capacity building and timely reporting for all partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership financial management and donor reporting.
• Ability to assess partner capacity and deliver training to strengthen financial processes.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and compliance.
• Experience working with multi‑partner programmes in a humanitarian context.
