Supply Chain Assistant – Procurement (Internal)

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is looking for a Supply Chain Assistant to support its procurement function within an internal sub‑office. You will work closely with the Supply Chain Officer and Finance team to ensure timely, transparent, and accountable procurement processes that meet the organisation’s humanitarian objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Follow DRC procurement procedures and support the department in completing multiple procurements to deadline.
• Collect quotations, prepare purchase requests, and ensure orders are correctly authorized.
• Coordinate with Finance to verify documentation for supplier payments.
• Maintain and update procurement databases and filing systems under supervision.
• Identify potential suppliers and keep the procurement follow‑up form current.
• Provide accurate documentation for audits and ensure smooth information flow with relevant departments.
• Perform other duties as requested by the line manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with NGOs, including at least 2 years in an INGO humanitarian supply‑chain or procurement role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and backgrounds.
