Cash and Market Officer

About the role

The Cash and Market Officer leads the design and implementation of cash‑based interventions and financial inclusion initiatives within Food Security and Livelihoods programmes. The role ensures transparent beneficiary selection, market assessments and effective cash delivery in partnership with MEAL and financial service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cash voucher assistance feasibility studies, market assessments and monthly price monitoring.
• Develop cash assistance plans, risk‑management strategies and obtain required approvals.
• Coordinate beneficiary selection, verification and registration with the MEAL unit.
• Support community empowerment through participatory disaster risk management and market linkages.
• Provide regular reporting, cash reconciliation and monitoring to FSL managers and Cash & GIK units.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience with NGOs in cash, food or voucher programming, financial inclusion or market assessments.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, management, marketing, agriculture or social science; master’s preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically and work in field settings (80% field activities).
• Good health, strong monitoring and communication skills, and familiarity with the target province context.
